Daniel D. Grice, age 67, died on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at the St. Catherine Hospital. He was born on March 28, 1953 in Pueblo, Colorado the son of Floyd Leroy and Mildred Rowena Turner Grice.
He worked as a Direct Support Professional for Mosaic of Garden City. He was a member of the Plymell Union Church and often could be found singing special music and operating the sound board. Daniel also was know by most people as “Santa”, he could be found around the holidays playing Santa Claus for the Mosaic Christmas Party, visiting patients in the hospital, the juvenile detention center, and in many homes in the area.
Often times you would see Daniel working on and riding his trike that had the custom license plate “HoHo” to further show his love for playing Santa.
On August 19, 1972 he was married to Mary Sue Patton in Ulysses, Kansas. She survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Ted Grice, Bill Grice.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, memorial services will be held at a later date.
