D. Vernon Williams, age 90, passed away at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas on Thursday, January 11, 2007. He was born on September 30, 1916 in Driftwood, Oklahoma, the son of Frank L. and Sarah E. Pearson Williams. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1948 moving from Wichita, Kansas, he was a mechanic and a US Navy Veteran of World War II.
Memberships include: American Legion #183 Scott City, Kansas Odd Fellows Lodge
On March 18, 1939 he married Vera Crook in Reading, Kansas. She passed away on December 26, 2001 in Scott City, Kansas.
