Cynthia Kay Appel, age 68, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 26, 2025, in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on March 16, 1957, in Scott City, Kansas, to Orville and Betty Specht Ives. She was a lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas. Cynthia worked at Gibson's for many years before working for First National Bank for twenty years until her retirement.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, was an avid reader, enjoyed camping, and loved all her pets dearly.
Survivors include her Two Sons- Phillip Appel of Wichita, Kansas, Aaron Appel of Wichita, Kansas, Two Brothers - Mike Ives of Wichita, Kansas, Terry and Brenda Ives of Wichita, Kansas, One Brother In Law - Nate Appel of Wichita, Kansas, Four Sisters In Law - Melodee and James Ramey of May, Oklahoma, Lark Speer of Scott City, Kansas, Denise Akers of Wichita, Kansas, Pam Appel of Scott City, Kansas, and One Great Uncle - Gene and Judy Specht of Wichita, Kansas,
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Parents, Three brothers-in-law - Gary Speer, Tony Akers, and Baxter Appel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Cynthia Kay Appel Memorial Fund in care of Price and Sons, P.O. Box 552, Scott City, KS 67871.
Services will be held at a later date.
