Cornelia Peat

Cornelia Peat, age 99, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on March 9, 1916 in Perryton, Texas, the daughter of Harry and Ada Evins. A resident of Garden City, Kansas since 2006, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Garden City, Kansas. In 1940 she married Freddie L. Peat in Perryton, Texas. He passed away August of 2001 in Manhattan, Kansas. Survivors include: One Son Robert Peat of Garden City, Kansas Two Granddaughters Tracy L. Peat of Salaina, Kansas Cyncia A. Chambers of La Veta, Colorado One Great Granddaughter Kelsey Chambers of Pueblo, Colorado She was preceded in death by parents, husband, and three sisters.
