Connie L. Scott, age 60, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 at her home in Scott County, Kansas. She was born on July 19, 1951 in Scott City, Kansas, the daughter of Garold Austin and Marilyn Swayze Been. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, she was an Agriculture Consultant. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Scott City, Kansas. On May 20, 1977 she married Norman Scott in Scott City, Kansas. He survives. Survivors include her Husband - Norman Scott of Scott County, Kansas, Three Sisters - Jodi & Danny Jones of Aurora, Colorado, Marianne & John Thompson of Clay Center, Kansas, Emily & Peter Chapman of Soquel, California, One Step Daughter - Bree Friedl of Cumming, Georgia, Step Mother - Verla Been of Scott City, Kansas, One Niece - Jessica Gallardo of Hays, Kansas, Five Nephews - Doug Heberlee of Scott City, Kansas, Travis Jones of Denver, Colorado, Rick Heberlee of Scott City, Kansas, Ben Chapman of Soquel, California, Michael Chapman of Soquel, California and Four Step Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents and One Nephew - Tyler Jones. Memorial Services will be held at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2012 with Steve Payne presiding. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials in Lieu of Flowers may be given to the Scott County Library or Scott County EMS in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas. There will be no calling times.
