Clifford M. Dearden, age 98, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on November 1, 1918 in Scott County, Kansas, the son of Clifford M. and Retta M. Sager Dearden. A lifetime resident of Scott County, Kansas, he was a farmer.
His memberships include the Holy Cross Lutheran Church and American Legion of Scott City. He was also a member of Farm Bureau and was a 4H Leader & Member. Clifford was a US Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II.
On February 17, 1942 he married Virginia L. Daubert in Scott City. She passed away on July 9, 2011 in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors include his One Daughter - Janet & Kirk Ottaway of Hays, Kansas, Three Granddaughters - Janelle Perryman of Hays, Kansas, Jill & Aaron Brantley of Hays, Kansas, Jessica & Tod Hileman of Hays, Kansas, Seven Great Grandchildren - Hunter Perryman of Hays, Kansas, Scout Perryman of Hays, Kansas, Marshall Perryman of Hays, Kansas, Feyden Hileman of Hays, Kansas, Jude Hileman of Hays, Kansas, MaLaney Brantley of Hays, Kansas, MaKinley Brantley of Hays, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife and One Daughter - Barbara Dearden.
Funeral Services will be held at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2017 with Rev. Warren Prochnow presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Park Lane Nursing Home in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
