Clement Ryan

Clement "Phil" Ryan, age 75, died Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on February 2, 1938 in Rocky Ford, Colorado the son of Phil & Dorothy Creager Ryan. He graduated from Rocky Ford High Scholl in 1956 and then attended the College of Emporia in Emporia, Kansas. Phil served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He then worked for the Santa Fe Railroad, the Holly Sugar Corporation of Colorado Springs, Colorado, the El Paso County District Court, El Paso Abstract Office, Panhandle Eastern Natural Gas of Hugoton, Kansas and most recently for the Garden City Walmart. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Hugoton, Kansas. On November 5, 1966, he married Ruby M. Unruh in Raton, New Mexico. She survives. Other Survivors Include: One Sister, E. Rebecca Senutovitch of Honolulu, Hawaii; Two Grandchildren and Two Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and One Son, Dennis Ryan. A Floatation Ceremony was held at Ala Monah Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii in remembrance of Phil. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
