CLAUDE WAS BORN MARCH 19, 1926 AT HANNA, OKLAHOMA THE SON OF JAMES LEO & LIZZIE BETH REYNOLDS TANKERSLEY. HE HAD BEEN A WICHITA COUNTY RESIDENT SINCE THE LATE 1940'S. HE WAS A VETERAN OF WORLD WAR TWO SERVING IN THE UNITED STATES NAVY. HE HAD BEEN OWNER/OPERATOR OF TANKERSLEY TRUCKING FROM 1947 UNTIL HIS RETIREMENT IN 2002. CLAUDE'S MEMBERSHIPS INCLUDE ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH- MARIENTHAL, KANSAS V.F.W. POST #6752 LEOTI, KANSAS WICHITA COUNTY ROUGHRIDERS- LEOTI, KANSAS ON MAY 1, 1951 HE MARRIED CHRISTINA CLARA BAKER AT MARIENTHAL, KANSAS. SHE PASSED AWAY ON MARCH 21, 2004 AT LEOTI, KANSAS CLAUDE'S SURVIVORS INCLUDE- FIVE SONS STEVE- LEOTI, KANSAS ORAN- SCOTT CITY, KANSAS GORDON- LEOTI, KANSAS RAY- LEOTI, KANSAS DAVE- HUTCHINSON, KANSAS ONE BROTHER- JAMES, JR.- ANCHORAGE, ALASKA ONE SISTER- FAYE SIMPSON- EUFAULA, OKLAHOMA TWO COUSINS- VERA WEST- PHAROAH, OKLAHOMA LLOYD & GLADYS KETCHUM- EUFAULA, OKLAHOMA FOURTEEN GRANDCHILDREN, FOUR GREAT GRANDCHILDREN VIGIL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 7:00 P.M. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH IN MARIENTHAL, KANSAS WITH FATHER BENJAMIN MARTIN OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN ST. MARY CEMETERY, MARIENTHAL, KANSAS. FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 10:00 A.M. TO 5:00 P.M. FRIDAY AT PRICE & SONS FUNERAL HOME IN LEOTI, KANSAS. MEMORIALS MAY BE GIVEN TO ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH OR THE WICHITA COUNTY L.T.C.U. IN CARE OF THE FUNERAL HOME.
