Clark Showalter

Clark "Jack" Marion Showalter, Sr., age 78, a former Garden City resident, recently moving to Apache Junction, AZ, died on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Hospice of Arizona, in Mesa, Arizona. He was born on January 11, 1934 in Hutchinson, Kansas the son of Clark Miller & Bertha L. Rhodes Showalter. Mr. Showalter had been an optician and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, having served during the Korean conflict. On February 28, 1959, he married Emma A. Opat in Haysville, Kansas. She survives. Other Survivors Include: Two Sons, Mark Showalter of Garden City, and Clark Showalter, Jr. of Springdale, Arkansas; Two Daughters, Theresa Yott of Apache Junction, Arizona, and Cheryl Pelton of Phoenix, Arizona; One Brother, Scott Showalter of Garden City, Kansas; One Sister, Shirley Halsey of Tempe, Arizona; 3 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and step-father. No services are planned at this time. Memorials may be given to the Clark M. Showalter Sr. Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home. There is no visitation at the funeral home.
