Charles LeRoy "Roy" Jacobus, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in Rice County, Kansas. He was born on August 4, 1940 in Chautauqua County, Kansas, the son of Charels Marian and Emma Ines Turner Jacobus. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1971 moving from Glenham, South Dakota, he was a Custom Harvester, Mechanic and Truck Driver.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elgin, Kansas. He was also a member of the US Custom Harvesters and was a Boy Scout Leader.
On July 21, 1961 he married Neva A. Peel in Onida, South Dakota. She survives.
Survivors Include his One Son - Dwight & Lisa Jacobus of Oakley, Kansas, Two Granddaughters - Melissa Jacobus of Oakley, Kansas, Briana Jacobus of Manhattan, Kansas, One Grandson - Gaige Jacobus of Oakley, Kansas and One Brother - Steve Jacobus of Tribune, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and One Son - Brian Jacobus.
Graveside Services will be held at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m Saturday, June 1, 2013 with Steve Payne presiding.
Memorials may be given to the Scott County Hospital % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday @ Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
