Charles Robert Funk, age 80, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Homestead Health & Rehabilitation Center in Garden City, Kansas. He was born February 28, 1933 in Las Animas, Colorado the son of Kenneth J. and Opal Viola Hunt Funk. Charles served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. A resident of Garden City since 1954, he was a welder and worked at the Garden City Co-op.
He was married to Leilani Knaus from 1960-1970.

One Son, Joey Kelch of Garden City, Kansas;
Five Sisters, Ardith Forbes of Paradise, California,
Joyce Cook of Vincennes, Indiana,
Hazel (& Irl) Miller of Las Animas, Colorado,
Shirley (& Eugene) Saloga of Garden City, Kansas and
Connie (& Presley) Herndon of Burleson, Texas;
Thirteen Grandchildren and Sixteen Great-Grandchildren and
Several Nephews and Nieces.
He was preceded in death by Parents, His Step-Mother, Vella Funk and three grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on, Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
There will be no public visitation at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be held in Las Animas, Colorado.
Memorials may be given to the Charles Funk Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
