Charles Cox, age 74, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on May 11, 1938 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the son of Arthur Raymond and Catherine Barber Cox. A resident of Garden City, Kansas since 1971 moving from Granite City, Illinois, he was a automotive mechanic.
He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Garden City, Kansas. He was also a former member of the Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge both of Garden City, Kansas.
In 1973 he married Patricia Dinning Mackley in Garden City, Kansas. She passed away in 1995 in Wichita, Kansas.
Survivors Include his Two Daughters - Christina Elias of Garden City, Kansas, Brenda Strickland of Garden City, Kansas, Four Brothers - Vernon Cox of Garden City, Kansas, John Cox of Granite City, Illinois, Gene Cox of Hollister, Missouri, Frank Smith of Belgrade, Missouri, Three Sisters - Della Thrasher of Granite City, Illinois, Stella Galvan of Park Hills, Missouri, Norma Canoe of Park Hills, Missouri, One Aunt - Grace Chapic of Duluth, Minnesota, Five Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, One Son - Ron Mackley Jr., One Brother - Ray Barber, One Sister - Virginia Shannon and One Great Granddaughter - Nenna Rose Quezada.
Graveside Services will be held at the Modoc Cemetery in Modoc, Kansas at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2031 with the Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding.
Memorials may be given to the Charles Cox Memorial Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Homes.
Interment will be in the Modoc Cemetery in Modoc, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday @ Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
