Chad Lee Medina

Chad Lee Medina, age 41, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015 at his home in Portland, Oregon. Chad was born March 16, 1974 in Leoti, Kansas, the son of Charles & Laura (Bishop) Medina. Chad attended kindergarten through the seventh grade in Copeland, Kansas and eighth grade through his senior year in Leoti, Kansas. Following graduation in 1992 at Wichita County High School, he attended Fort Hays State University and began his career in healthcare as a CT Technologist. He had been employed by Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland, Oregon for the past 10 years. Chad was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hiking, cycling, backpacking, camping, canoeing, star- gazing and spending time in nature with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his love of nature and his friendly, compassionate and giving personality. Chad survivors include His wife Monika Medina- Portland, Oregon His son- Mateo Max Medina- Portland, Oregon Parents- Charles & Laura Medina- Leoti, Kansas Two brothers and their wives- Blaine & Patty Medina – Blue Mound, Illinois Cory & Anna Medina- Portland, Oregon A niece and nephew- Tori & Tye- Blue Mound, Illinois As well as his many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and countless friends. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, October 31, 2015 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Leoti, Kansas with Father Benjamin Martin officiating.
