Cecelia P. Weir-Weisenberger, age 72, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on March 27, 1941 in Armagh, Northern Ireland, the daughter of Robert James & Mary Theresa Hagan Weir. She grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland and after WWII moved to Edinburgh, Scotland where she finished her schooling. She was a US Army Veteran serving from 1969-1971 with the rank of SP-4. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1997 moving from Garden City, Kansas, she had been a cook for the Scott County Hospital and Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott CIty, Kansas.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Cathedral in Armagh, Northern Ireland.
On January 16, 1997 she married Frank S. Weisenberger in Garden City, KS. He survives.
Survivors include her Husband - Frank S. Weisenberger of Scott City, Kansas, One Daughter - Theresa Gonzales of Garden City, Kansas, Three Sisters - Phillis Scotland of Edinburgh, Scotland, Roberta Weir of Edinburgh, Scotland, Mary Weir of Edinburgh, Scotland, One Brother - Bobby Weir of Toronto, Canada, One Grandson - Damien Gonzales, Jr of Garden City, Kansas, Two Granddaughters - Jacquelyn Gonzales of Garden City, Kansas and Allie Gonzales of Garden City, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her Parents and One Sister - Gale Weir.
Vigil Services will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013.
Funeral Services will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2013 with Fr. Bernard Felix presiding.
Memorials In Lieu of flowers may be given to the Disabled American Veterans Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Thursday @ Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
