Carol J. Pedersen

Carol J. Pedersen, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Hospice House in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born on June 30, 1938, in Eldridge, Missouri, the daughter of Golden & Claudia June Murphy Greenwood. A resident of Scott City, Kansas moving from Craig, Colorado, in 1963 until 2019 when she moved to Hutchinson, Kansas to be near her family. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Pence Community Church in Pence, Kansas, and attended Crosspoint Church in Hutchinson, Kansas.

On September 24, 1955, she married Lonnie Pedersen in Craig, Colorado. He passed away on February 22, 2014, in Scott City, Kansas.

Survivors include her One Son - Craig & Leslie Pedersen of Hutchinson, Kansas, One Daughter - Caryn & Tim Green of Wood River, Nebraska, One Brother - Gene Greenwood of Pocahontas, Iowa, One Granddaughter - Aria Pedersen of Hutchinson, Kansas, Five Grandsons - Neil Pedersen of Raymore, Missouri, Noah Pedersen of Hutchinson, Kansas, Nyle Pedersen of Hutchinson, Kansas, Cordell Green of Dannebrog, Nebraska, Dakota Green of Wood River, Nebraska, and One Great Granddaughter - Everly Pedersen of Raymore, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, and One Sister - Mary Most.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2024, at Pence Community Church with Pastor Don Williams presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Pence Community Church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 552, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2024, and from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Price & Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
