Carol Marie Martin, age 77, died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the High Plains Retirement Village in Lakin, Kansas. She was born on June 25, 1936 in Montezuma, Kansas the daughter of Edgar Royal and Norma Marie Finfrock Hornbaker. Carol was the 1954 Salutorian for the School For the Deaf in Olathe, Kansas. A resident of Lakin since 2010 moving from Wichita, Kansas she had worked for the United States Postal Service.
On March 17, 1963 she married Ralph Omar Martin in Garden City, Kansas.
He died May 1, 1992 in Garden City, Kansas.
Survivors Include:
One Sister-In-Law, Marjorie Hornbaker of Tribune, Kansas and
One Nephew, James Eric Morrison of Canola Park, California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, One Brother, Dean Hornbaker and a Niece, Karen Hornbaker Morrison.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas with the Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding.
Friends may call from 10:00am-5:00pm Monday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Interment will be held in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
