Bucky McCombs, age 78, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2014 at his home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on June 12, 1936 in Oakley, Kansas, the son of Lawrence Dwight and Mae Walker McCombs Sr. In 1949 he moved to Scott City, Kansas from Oakley, Kansas. In 1966 he moved to Goodland, Kansas until 1977 and from 1977 to present he has lived in Scott City, Kansas. He worked for Rainbow Bread Company from 1964 - 1977 and then for USD 466 in Scott City until his retirement in 1998.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Scott City Car Club both of Scott City, Kansas.
On June 10, 1956 he married Barbara Oliver. She passed away on February 15, 1985 in Burlington, Colorado. On September 11, 1992 he married Louise Hanzlick at Las Vegas, Nevada. She passed away on June 27, 2013 in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors Include his One Son - Quigg & Jeris McCombs of Goodland, Kansas, Two Daughters - Kammie & Kevin Good of Parker, Colorado, Monique Eves of Parker, Colorado, Four Grandsons - Quenn McCombs of Colby, Kansas, Derek Good of Grand Junction, Colorado, Jordan McCombs of Goodland, Kansas, Kelton Good of El Dorado, Kansas, Two Granddaughters - Chelsea Good of Kansas City, Missouri and Kayleigh McCombs of Goodland, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant daughter and one sister.
Funeral Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 with the Rev. Dennis Carter presiding.
Memorials may be given to the Scott City Car Club % of Price & Son Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday @ Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
