Branda R. Smith

Branda R. Smith, age 38, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, at the St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado. She was born on September 27, 1985, in Goodland, Kansas, the daughter of Mike & Rhonda Weehunt Beckner. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 2006, she was a homemaker.

Branda was a member of the Prairie View Church of the Brethren in Friend, Kansas, and was an avid bow & rifle hunter.

On April 24, 2015, she married Rylan D. Smith in Scott City, Kansas. He survives.

Survivors include her Husband - Rylan D. Smith of Scott City, Kansas, One Son - Clayton Smith of Scott City, Kansas, Father - Mike & Jennifer Beckner of Goodland, Kansas, One Brother - Justin Beckner of Wichita, Kansas, Grandmother - Francis Kay Copper of Goodland, Kansas, Two Uncles - Shannon Beckner of Texas, Scott Weehunt of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Two Aunts - Cara Short of Goodland, Kansas, and Sherry Kibel of Flagler, Colorado. 

Branda was preceded in death by her Mother - Rhonda Beckner, and Two Daughters - Terra Murphy, and Cassie Murphy.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the Prairie View Church of the Brethren in Friend, Kansas with Jon Tuttle presiding.

There will be no calling times.

The inurnment will take place at a later date.
