Billy L. Curtis, age 73, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas. He was born on March 23, 1939 in Ness County, Kansas, the son of Clarence Willie and Vera Merle Conner Curtis. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1970 moving from Dighton, Kansas, he was the owner and operator of Curtis Trucking and former owner and operator of Curtis Repair both of Scott City, Kansas.
He was a member of the First Christian Church of Utica, Kansas.
In 1957 he married Wilda Jean Deighton in Dighton, Kansas. He later married Betty Lou Johnson in 1967 in Liberal, Kansas.
Survivors include his One Daughter - Lisa & Randy Jacobs of Scott City, Kansas, Two Step Daughters - Pam Adams of Pueblo West, Colorado, Penny Sparks of Branson, Missouri, One Brother - Robert & Kay Curtis of Ransom, Kansas, One Sister - Louie & Patty Steffens of Imperial, California, Three Grandchildren - Jeremy & Racquel Jacobs of Grandview, Missouri, Aaron & Azure Miller of Overland Park, Kansas, Cynamin & Jim VanLue of Cuchara, Colorado, Ten Great Grandchildren and Several Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by is Parents, One Sister - Twila Howard and One Great Grandson - Keaton Miller.
Memorial Services will be held at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 with Rev. Scott Wagner presiding.
Memorials may be given to the Scott County 4-H or Scott County Indoor Arena in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Inurnment will be in the Utica Cemetery in Utica, Kansas at a later date.
