Beverly Ann Eckels, age 73, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita. She was born on March 10, 1937 in Shallow Water, Kansas, the daughter of Harrison Wayne and Violet Marie Bailey Bulkley. A lifetime resident of Shallow Water, Kansas, she was a homemaker, housekeeper and part time baker.
She was a member of the Gospel Fellowship Church in Shallow Water, Kansas where she was very active in all activities including Sunday School Teacher, Bible School Teacher, custodian, and many others activities. Other memberships include EHU and Awana leader both of Scott City, Kansas.
On July 4, 1954 she married Dale Eugene Eckels in Scott City, Kansas. He survives.
Survivors Include her Husband - Dale Eugene Eckels of Shallow Water, Kansas, Two Sons - Les & Nancy Eckels of Scott City, Kansas, Kenton & Debra Kaye Eckels of Scott City, Kansas, Two Daughters - Kim & Jeff Baier of Ulysses, Kansas, Jynette & Jerry Buxton of Scott City, Kansas, Three Sisters - Bonnie Sauer of Scott City, Kansas, Louise Williams of Scott City, Kansas, Mary Landgraff of Garden City, Kansas, One Brother - Harold Bulkley of Wachaxie, Texas, Seven Granddaughters and One Great Grandson.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, and Two Brothers â Robert Bulkley and Ronnie Bulkley.
A celebration of life will be held at the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010 with pastors Don Williams and Larry Taylor presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Gospel Fellowship Church or American Cancer Society % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
