Betty Jean Woodward, age 83, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2009 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on February 25, 1926 in Sedalia, Missouri, the daughter of Paul M. and Iantha L. Blaine Kitterman. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1939 moving from Sedalia, Missouri, she was a homemaker. Memberships Include the Community Christian Church of Scott City, Kansas and American Legion Auxiliary of Scott City, Kansas. On April 9, 1944 she married Samuel P. Woodward in Scott City, Kansas. He survives. Survivors include her Husband - Sam P. Woodward of Scott City, Kansas, Three Nephews - Larry Turpin of Scott City, Kansas, Gary Turpin of Lawrence, Kansas, and Dale Stephenson of Dodge City, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her Parents, One Sister - Pauline Turpin, and One Niece. Funeral Services will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2009 with the Rev. Don Williams presiding. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Pence Community Church or the Park Lane Nursing Home% of Price & Son Funeral Home in Scott City. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
