Bethel Amerine, age 98, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on December 5, 1912 in Lafontaine, Kansas, the daughter of Thomas & Bessie Frizell Burton. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 2010 moving from Sun City, Arizona, she was a school teacher for over 20 years in Sherman County, Kansas.
Memberships include the First Christian Church of Goodland & Sun City, Arizona, and attended the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas.
On January 26, 1935 she married Woodrow "Woody" Amerine in Lafontaine, Kansas. He passed away on January 3, 1994 in Sun City, Arizona.
Survivors include her One Son - Ron & Darla Amerine of Scott City, Kansas, Six Grandsons - David & Marva Amerine of Platteville, Colorado, Chad & Amanda Amerine of Scott City, Kansas, Tom & Caprice Amerine Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona, Steve & Rose Amerine of Liebenthal, Kansas, Rob & Paula Amerine of Chandler, Arizona, Terry & Mari Amerine of Phoenix, Arizona, One Granddaughter - Sally & Paul O'Brien of Surprise, Arizona, Eighteen Great Grandchildren and Seven Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, One Son â Tom Amerine Sr., Four Sisters and Three Brothers.
Funeral Services will be held at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 with the Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding.
Graveside Service will be held at the Goodland Cemetery in Goodland, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. (MT) Friday, February 11, 2011.
Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church of Scott City, Scott County Hospital CATS Channel or First Christian Church of Goodland % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
