Beth Ann (Myers) Tenan, Fort Collins, Colorado passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025, to our Lord and Savior peacefully in her sleep after a long and courageous battle following her stroke four years ago. Beth Tenan was born May 1, 1971, in Wamego, Kansas to Byrom Myers and Diane (Myers) Piper. The family soon moved to Tribune, Kansas where Beth attended Greeley County Schools and graduated in May, 1989. Beth was a natural athlete and played basketball, excelled at tennis, and was on the cheerleading squad. She continued her education and played tennis at Seward County College, Liberal, Kansas.
Beth was previously married and to this union were two children, Kylee and Cooper.
Beth Tenan had a joyous presence and was filled with a passion for life and her family. Those around her knew they were valued and loved ferociously. No one knew this more than her children though. Beth spent many hours advocating for her son Cooper’s medical and educational needs. Beth also made sure everyone knew how proud she was to be Kylee’s mother, sharing all of Kylee’s achievements with anyone who would listen. Beth’s mother-daughter relationship with Kylee was special, but what Beth valued most was being Kylee’s friend in adulthood. The love shared between these three gave radiating warmth to those lucky enough to be witness. Kylee and Cooper were Beth’s biggest joy, however, her love abounded to others too. She would gladly stop what she was doing to serve you one of her famous home-cooked meals which she often accompanied with one of her many homemade canned goods. Beth also loved a good adventure. In her short life she traveled often, making a new friend wherever she went. An avid Bills fan, she traveled to Buffalo, New York, embracing the cold and snow to cheer on her team. Beth’s favorite destination though was Las Vegas and spending time on the casino floor. She enjoyed the excitement and thrill that a night in Vegas brought. She also spent many hours golfing with the love of her life and husband, Chris. Together, they traveled to exotic places just to golf a new course. Their love for one another was apparent to all who knew them and their interaction with each other gave hope that a joyous marriage was possible. If you were lucky enough to be part of Beth’s family, you knew she had your back. There wasn’t any challenge she wouldn’t endure to help a member out. Once you married in, you were part of that love and became an honorary sister or brother. She loved giving everyone a hard time, which brought many laughs to the family dinner table. Many of her greatest family memories were days spent at the family farm in Topeka, one of her favorite places on earth.
Beth is survived by her husband, Chris Tenan of Timnath, Colorado, her daughter Kylee Moe (Chris Moe) of Leavenworth, Kansas, her son Cooper Tokoi of Leoti, Kansas, her father, Byrom Myers Tribune, KS, her mother Diane Piper (Darrell) Tribune, KS, siblings: Buddy Myers, Paradise, CA, Margina Myers, Kansas City, KS, Tammy Siverson (Todd) Imperial, NE, Jim Myers (Julia) Leoti, KS, Bart Myers (Torri) Newton, KS, Kendra Piper, South Fulton, TN, Uncles, Aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Beth was preceded by: Grandparents, Allen & Margaret Myers, Topeka, KS, her Uncle Bruce Myers, Topeka, KS, Heather Myers, Topeka, KS.
