Bernice Lear Kimbrough, age 92, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at her home in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on August 21, 1918 in Kinsley, Kansas, the daughter of August Fred and Elizabeth Winnifred Nolde Ploger. A resident of Garden City, Kansas since 1994 moving from Palmdale, California, she was a Licensed Beautician.
She was a member of the Methodist faith and also a member of the Eastern Star in Palmdale, California.
On September 28, 1948 she married Phillip Lear in Los Angeles, California. He passed away on August 10, 1973 in Palmdale, California. On July 15, 1974 she married Walter Kimbrough in Palmdale, California. He passed away February 24, 1992 in Palmdale, California.
Survivors include One Brother - Donald Ploger of Garden City, Kansas, Numerous Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Parents,both Husbands, Two Brothers â Alvin Ploger & Arnold Ploger, and Three Sisters â Margaret Ploger, Elizabeth Ploger, and Frieda Butterfield.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City, Kansas with the Reverend Brad Kirk presiding.
Friends may call from 10:00am-8:00pm on Tuesday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City.
Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Salem Methodist Cemetery in Kinsley, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
