Holcomb, Kansas Benjerman Scott Gaines, age 4, died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born April 8, 2004 in Rolla, Missouri the son of David Allen Gaines II and Brenda Joy Decker. He had been a resident of Garden City since 2006 moving from Crocker, Missouri. Survivors Include: Father, David Allen Gaines II of Crocker, MO; Mother & her companion, Brenda Gaines & Robert Coen Jr. of the home; One Brother, Robert Decker of the home; One Step-Brother, Zayne Coen of Chadron, NE; Two Sisters, Paulanne Decker of Garden City and Sky Decker of the home; One Step-Sister, Cheyann Coen of Chadron, NE; Grandparents, David Allen Gaines Sr. of Crocker, MO, Charity & Jeff Strong of Mountain Home, AR, Ronald & Barbara Decker of Garden City, KS and Barbara Coen of Garden City, KS; Great-Grandparents, Bruce Gaines of Crocker, MO; Alma Gaines of Iberia, MO; Tom & Mary Waldrop of Flippin, AR and Harold & Sonja Decker of McCook, NE; Great-Great-Grandfather, Joe W. Lee of Malden, MO. He was preceded in death by an aunt, Robin Decker and an uncle, Charles Schaefer. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, August 1, 2008 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas with Pastor Manford Koehn presiding. Friends may call from 10:00am-8:00pm on Thursday and from 10:00am until service time Friday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
