Bartolo Rojas

Bartolo M. Rojas, age 91, died Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Homestead Health & Rehabilitation Center in Garden City, Kansas. He was born August 24, 1921 at Ottine, Texas, the son of Pedro and Susan Martinez Rojas. A resident of Garden City since 1941, he had worked for the City of Garden City Electrical Department, and was a WWII Army Air Force veteran. He was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church of Garden City, KS and the American G I Forum. On April 11, 1944 he married Mary Delgado in Garden City, Kansas. She survives. Other Survivors include: One Son, Gilbert Rojas of Garden City, Kansas; Three Daughters, Rosie Beltran of Garden City, Kansas, Brenda K. Villa of Garden City, Kansas and Oletha Cox of Garden City, Kansas; One Brother, Raymond Rojas of Norton, Kansas; 25 Grandchildren and numerous Great-Grand & Great-Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sons, Pete, Jimmy & Danny Rojas; two daughters, Gloria Perez & Susie Garcia; four grandchildren, Dirk & Timothy Cox, Gilbert Rojas, Jr & Jamie Marie Villa. Vigil and Rosary services will be held at 7:00pm on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City, Kansas. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Friends may call from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Sunday and 10am-5:00pm Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas, with Military Rites. Memorials may be given to the Bart Rojas Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
