Barbara Dunlap

Barbara Ann Dunlap, age 84, died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at her winter home in Sun City West, Arizona. She was born on December 5, 1928 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Glenn & Flossie Jane DeMoss Shipp. A resident of Garden City since 2008 moving from Frankfort, Kansas where she had worked for Kansas Social & Rehabilitation Services for 27 years. She was a member the First United Methodist Church of Garden City, Kansas and attended the Desert Garden Church in Sun City West, Arizona. She was involved with the church circle and also belonged to ESA, PEO, the KU Alumni Association and the American Legion Auxiliary. On June 13, 1948 she married Milton Dale Dunlap in Paola, Kansas. He died January 3, 2007 in Sun City West, Arizona. Survivors Include: One Daughter, Michelle Mayo of Garden City, Kansas; One Sister, Rita Olson of Pierre South Dakota and Three Granddaughters, Megan Ryan of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Wendy Mayo of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Stacy Mayo of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City, Kansas. Friends may call from 3:00-8:00pm on Thursday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Interment will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, January 19, 2013 in the Frankfort Cemetery in Frankfort, Kansas. Memorials may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the American Cancer Society both in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
