Audrey Maxine McNutt, 92, of Scott City, passed away peacefully following a lengthy illness March 26, 2012 at her granddaughter's house in Wray, Colorado.
Mrs. McNutt was born December 15, 1919 near the Kansas Oklahoma border to Warren and Mae Farrar. She graduated as class Valedictorian from Hugoton High School in 1936.
Audrey married John W. McNutt on July 4th, 1938. They lived for a short time in Liberal, Kansas before moving to Scott City, Kansas in 1940.
Audrey was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker and active member of First Christian Church all of her life. She was a member of many clubs and organizations over the years including Christian Women's Fellowship, Sunday School teacher, Girl Scouts of America, Scott County Hospital Volunteer, Scott County Museum, Historical Society of Scott County, Red Hat Club, Scott County Library volunteer, numerous bible study and bridge clubs. She was also well-known for her crafts, puppet shows, knitting, crocheting and story telling.
Mrs. McNutt is survived by her grandchildren, Duane (Deb) Roberson of Wellington, Colorado, Dave Roberson of Loveland, Colorado, Debbie Luciano of Wray, Colorado; Daren (Ronna) Roberson of Fort Collins, Colorado; 8 great grandchildren, Carlyn (Joseph) Duran, Brittany Roberson, Cortnee Roberson, Conor Roberson, Carol (John) Scheetz, Colby Luciano, Chazz Luciano and Colton Luciano, a great-great grandson, Noah Duran with another expected in August of this year; nephews Wendell Fox and family, Warren Fox and family and niece Gail Reiss and family.
Preceding her passing were her mother and father, Warren and Mae Farrar, husband John McNutt, daughters Carol McNutt and Ellen Roberson, sisters Mildred Fox, Ruth Cook, Mary Beth Farrar, and brother Warren¬¬¬¬ Farrar.
Funeral Service will be held at The First Christian Church of Scott City on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery. A reception will follow the graveside service at The First Christian Church at 3:00 p.m.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 8:00 pm on Friday, March 30th at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Scott City.
