Arturo Armendariz

Arturo Armendariz, age 58, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at the Hutchinson Hospital in Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born on January 30, 1950 in Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Encarnacion and Eva Prieto Armendariz. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1974, moving from Chihuahua, Mexico, he was the Mill Foreman at Poky Feeders since January 5, 1981. Memberships include the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Scott City, Kansas. On July 15, 1972 he married Bertha Duarte in Chihuahua, Mexico. She survives. Survivors Include his Wife - Bertha Armendariz of Scott City, Kansas. Two Sons - Rey & Melissa Armendariz of Scott City, Kansas and Bryan & Laura Armendariz of Chatham, Illinois, Five Brothers - Armando Armendariz of Mexico, Ramon Armendariz of Scott City, Kansas, Humberto Armendariz of Mexico, Jesus Armendariz of Mexico, Horacio Armendariz of Scott City, Kansas, Six Sisters - Hermila Rivera of Mexico, Ideliza Rivera of Mexico, Manuela Ruiz of Mexico, Luz Elena Heredia of Mexico, Gracilla Rodriguez of Scott City, Kansas, and Leticia Alvidrez of Mexico, Two Grandchildren - Conner Armendariz of Scott City, Kansas, and of Case Armendariz of Scott City, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his Parents, and One Daughter â Cynthia Armendariz. Vigil Service will be held at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2008. Funeral Mass will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2008 with Fr. Warren Stecklein presiding. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Arturo Armendariz Memorial Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 4:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
