Antonia B. Lopez

Antonia “Toni” B. Lopez, age 92, died on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on January 17, 1923 in Dodge City, Kansas the daughter of Guadelupe and Romana Mejia Blea. She has been a resident of Garden City, Kansas since 1940 having moved from Dodge City, Kansas. She was married to Rudy Ramirez until he passed way on Oct. 19, 1949 in Garden City, Kansas. On January 23, 1957 she married Paul Lopez in Kansas City, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include: Two Sons: Alexander Ramirez of Littleton, Colorado, Bruce and Mary Lopez of Lawrence, Kansas Two Daughters Patsy Blackburn of Holcomb, Kansas Paula Stevenson of Cimarron, Kansas One Sister Elvira “Candi” Garcia of Garden City, Kansas Nine Grandchildren, Seven Great-Grandchildren, and Nine Great Great-Grandchildren. Toni was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday December 31, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City, Kansas. Vigil Services will be held on Wednesday Dec. 30, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 and from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 both at Price and Sons Funeral Home of Garden City. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the St. Mary Catholic School or to St. Catherine Hospice in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home; 620 N. Main St. Garden City, Kansas 67846. Interment will follow mass at the Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield, Kansas.
