Anthony “Tony” Lester Beeson, age 72, passed on December 11th, 2024 at St. Catherine’s Hospital in Garden City, Kansas.
Tony was born on September 3rd, 1952 in Garden City Kansas to Marieta and Lester Beeson, the second child and only son of six children. Alberta Wright, Trudi Kuntzsch, Heidi Jason, Jennifer Henry and Callie Cox, his sisters, always said he was the best and favorite brother. After many shenanigans growing up on the family farm near Pence Kansas, he graduated Scott Community High School in 1970. He went on to Northwest Technical College in Goodland, where he was certified in auto body.
After school he married Lavenda Bandel in 1975. They were blessed with three children DaShell Sellers, Kenneth Beeson, and Kevin Beeson. They moved back to the farm for a while before moving to Garden City.
In 1984 he married Erica Schuetz at Pence Kansas. After many years chasing dreams and climbing ladders they decided it was time to move home to Kansas with two daughters, Monica Beeson and Brenna Beeson.
He went on to weld for many years at Jerry’s Welding in Scott City. He became a devote Catholic at St. Joseph’s Church and join the Knights of Columbus.
Tony was proceeded in death by his parents, sons Kenneth and Kevin, brother in laws John Wright and Brad Cox, nephew John Kerschen.
His surviving family includes his wife of 40 years Erica Beeson. Daughters DaShell and Jason Sellers, Monica Beeson, and Brenna Beeson. Grand children Gavin Sellers, Audrey Sellers, Jana Sellers, Charlie Smith, and Renee Beeson. Daughter-in-law Jessica Beeson and family. All his sisters Alberta Wright, Trudi and Fred Kuntzsch, Heidi and John Jason, Jennifer and Tony Henry, and Callie Cox. Aunt Cora and Dewy Wright. And many, many, many, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Vigil Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 6:40 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2025 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas with Fr. Don Bedore, and Fr. Warren Stecklein.
Inurnment will be at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
