Alma L. Jewell

Alma L. Jewell, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on December 2, 1932, in Texoma, Oklahoma, the daughter of Kenneth & Violet Robinson Hager. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, she was a farmer & homemaker.

She was a member of the Community Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas, BW Club, Kolorful Kansas Art Association, and was an avid lover of books.

On June 30, 1951, she married Jack Jewell in Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on January 22, 2018, in Scott County, Kansas.

Survivors include her One Son - David Jewell of Wichita, Kansas, Two Daughters - Diana Yost of Holcomb, Kansas, Linda & Danny Leger of Scott City, Kansas, Eleven Grandchildren, Ten Great Grandchildren, and Twelve Great-Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, husband, One Sister, and One Daughter - Cindy Barnes.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2025, at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas with Pastor Nathan Haeck presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Scott County Library in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 552, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, and 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Price & Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
