Alexis Briann Buxton, age 22, kissed this world goodbye and danced into heaven on March 4th, 2023, after experiencing a perforated ulcer.
Alexis, but called Lexi by all those that loved her, was born on August 14th, 2000, in Carson City, Nevada. At just a few weeks old, she joined her parents and older sister in Scott City, Kansas, where she lived the next 22 years.
Lexi will always be remembered for her infectious smile, love of sushi, and vibrant hair.
Her boundless compassion for animals, particularly strays, kept her parents continuously surprised. The Heavenly reunion with her dog, Cannon, that recently passed was sure to be joyous.
Lexi also had a unique knack for communicating with children. Children were drawn to her, and Lexi was able to find uninhibited joy in the smallest things.
She loved drawing, music, and crafts, especially potion making at her grandma’s when she was younger.
Her family finds peace in knowing she was welcomed to heaven by her Grandpa Jack Buxton, Grandpa Eugene Eckels, and Grandma Ann Eckels.
Lexi will forever be remembered by her Parents - Jerry and Jynette Buxton of Scott City, Kansas, One Sister - Emily Buxton of Scott City, Kansas, One Half-Sister - Trina Alanis of Reno, Nevada, Grandmother - Velma Buxton, Nephews - Camden and Brexton Mulligan, Significant other Brandon Symank, Cousins - Kelsi, Molly (TJ), Nichole (Sean) Majken (Jonathan), Krista, Konner, Kelly, Wyatt, Case, CJ, Tori, and Hannah. Plus a flock of aunts, uncles, family & friends.
A Celebration Of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas with pastor Don Williams presiding. Services will be live streamed at www.priceandsons.com.
Memorials in Lieu Of Flowers can be written to Alexis Buxton Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 553, Scott City, Kansas. Funds will go to help animals and school meals for those who cannot afford them.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Price & Sons Funeral Home, 410 S. Washington St., Scott City, Kansas.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
