Arlen Bradley Unruh

Arlen Bradley Unruh was born to Aelard Merl and Carol Ann Unruh on September 6th, 1967, in Scott City Kansas. On December 12th, 2024, Brad passed away at the age of 57.

Brad’s family lived in Kansas for the first two years of his life, in pursuit of a better life for his family, Aelard bought a farm in Colorado, just East of Brighton – where Brad flourished and loved farming with his dad.

Brad married Maggie Reinoehl on June 19th, 1993. Brad and Maggie worked side-by-side with their hogs while also helping Aelard with raising cattle, wheat, and hay. Brad helped his dad with all aspects of farming from raising and selling animals; cutting, bailing, and hauling hay on the stack wagon; and maintaining and repairing all the farming equipment.

Brad and Maggie welcomed three wonderful sons: Scott Brinton - born December 16, 1996; Ian Hayes - born June 29th, 1999; Michael Bradley - born April 9th, 2004.

Brad inherited the same traits as his father and would bestow them onto his three boys – loyalty, honesty, and integrity. Brad loved watching his little boys turn into strong young men.

Brad took care of everyone and anyone who asked anything of him even those who did not reciprocate. Brad promised his dad that he would take care of his mom, and his word was as good as his heart. Brad loved and was close to The Lord.

Brad was preceded in death by his father Aelard in June of 2015; his father-in-law Dale Reinoehl January of 2009; his maternal grandparents Pete and Eva Ratzlaff; and his paternal grandparents Brinton and Amanda Unruh.

Brad was deeply loved by Maggie, Scott, Ian, and Michael. He will be forever and dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Scott Mennonite Church in Pence, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Scott Mennonite Church in Pence, Kansas.

Interment will be held in the Scott Mennonite Church Cemetery in Pence, Kansas.
