Norman F. Harper, age 91, passed away at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas on Monday, February 2, 2009. He was born on May 6, 1917 in Boyd, Kansas in Barton County, the son of William and Mary Theresia Hickey Harper. He was a resident of Scott County, Kansas since 1921 moving from Barton County, Kansas. He was a farmer and a cattleman.
His was a member of the Community Christian Church of Scott City, Kansas. Norman was very active in the communities of Healy, Manning and Scott serving on several boards.
On January 23, 1943 she married Mary Ellen Harmon in Wichita, Kansas. She passed away on August 5, 2004 in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors his Two Sons - Larry & Judy Harper of Goodland, Kansas, Galen & Susan Harper of Scott City, Kansas, One Daughter - Mariel & Dave Wiegers of Goodland, Kansas, Twelve Grandchildren, Eleven Great Grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his Parents, Wife, Four Sisters and Four Brothers.
Memorial Services will be at the Community Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009.
Interment will be in the Healy Cemetery in Healy, Kansas.
Memorials In Lieu of flowers can be given to the Community Christian Church or Park Lane Nursing Home % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.
