Marilyn Y. Crook, age 92, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at the Ranch House in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on December 21, 1929, in Burrton, Kansas, the daughter of Harry & Nyra Devenpeck Grover. A resident of Garden City, Kansas since 1958 moving from Satanta, Kansas, she was a seamstress and co-owner of the Tailor Shop in Garden City, Kansas for 30 years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Garden City, Kansas.
On July 16, 1950, she married Gene Crook in Clayton, New Mexico. He passed away on November 5, 2004, in Garden City, Kansas.
Survivors include One Son - Jack Crook of Garden City, Kansas, Two Daughters - Jill Patterson of Windsor, Colorado, Jeanne Graber of Windsor, Colorado, Five Grandchildren - Jeff Crook of Garden City, Kansas, Jeret Crook of Dallas, Texas, Emily Baker of Denver, Colorado, Erica Graber of Loveland, Colorado, C.J. Patterson of Windsor, Colorado, and Seven Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, and One Daughter - Jayne Yastrow.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
There will be no calling times.
