Louise Scott, age 89, died Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. She was born January 8, 1917 in Westmoreland, Kansas the daughter of Louie Charles and Ina Florence Wilber Huckstadt. A resident of Garden City since 1984 moving from Kalvesta, Kansas, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Garden City and had a great love of the outdoors.
On June 22, 1938 she married Ronald G. Scott in Syracuse, Kansas. He died Feb. 4, 1999 in Garden City.
Survivors include: Two Sons; K. Mark Scott of Manhattan, Kansas and Larry D. Scott of Kalvesta, Kansas. 2 Brothers; Lyman Huckstadt of Garden City, Kansas and Wilber Huckstadt of Tacoma, Washington.
One Grandchild and Eight Great-Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Vurlyn Kent Scott, a sister, Vurva Scott and a granddaughter, Jennifer Crone.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City with the Reverend Brenda Fluellen presiding.
Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Garden City.
Friends may call from 10:00am-8:00pm on Friday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City.
