Laura Legg

Laura Alyce Legg, age 90, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Wichita County Long Term Care Center in Leoti, Kansas. She was born on March 31, 1919 in Republic County, Kansas, the daughter of Oda Edgar and Flora Ellen Stackhouse Hogue. A resident of Leoti, Kansas since 1999 moving from Las Cruces, New Mexico, she was homemaker. Her memberships include Ness County EHU, Ness City Canasta Club and she served as a Pink Lady in Las Cruces for several years. On November 10, 1937 she married Jay Wayne Legg in Ness City, Kansas. He passed away on January 3, 1992 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Survivors include her One Son - Earl & Marilyn Legg of Leoti, Kansas, One Daughter - Laura Diane Peck of Wichita, Kansas, One Sister - Flora Marie Sowell of Fullerton, California, Three Grandchildren - Laura Kim Abts of Eagle River, Alaska, Jason Legg of Wichita, Kansas, Randy Rorick of Wichita, Kansas and Three Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents, and Three Brothers. Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
