Joyce Sloan

Garden City, Kansas Joyce Sloan, age 87, died on Sunday, October 24, 2020 at her home in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on May 21, 1933 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Alice Barrett. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Garden City, Kansas and worked as a paraprofessional for USD 457 and as a greeter at the Local Walmart. On February 3, 1952 she married Robert Vance Sloan in Dodge City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on July of 1989. Survivors include: Two Sons James S. (Joenne Hartley) Sloan of Olathe, Kansas Steven R. Sloan of Wichita, Kansas One daughter-in-law Susan Sloan of Wichita, Kansas Four Grandchildren Sean Sloan of Japan Aaron Hartley Melissa Hartley Brent Hartley Three Great Grandchildren Emily, Scott and Julie. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, Lance. Visitation will be from 10-8 at Price & Sons Funeral Home Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the First Christian Church with Pastor Steve Payne Presiding. Interment will be at the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to the St. Catherine Hospice in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, 620 N.
