John Leys

John "Jack" Leys, age 59, died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born August 30, 1954 in Conrad, Montana the son of John M. and Dixie L. Biffle Leys. A resident of Garden City since 1974, he was a mechanic at Marv's Garage. He was a member of the Bible Christian Church of Garden City, Kansas. On June 12, 1976, he married Vonja S. Barnett in Scott City, Kansas. She survives. Other Survivors Include: Two Daughters, Shanna (& John) Yox of Garden City, Kansas and Taryn (& Richard) Anthony of River Oaks, Texas; His Mother, Dixie Leys of Great Falls, Montana; Three Brothers, Mark Leys of Conrad, Montana, Keith Leys of Cutbank, Montana and Thomas Leys of Great Falls, Montana; One Sister, Sandra Bellows of Spokane, Washington; One Granddaughter, Angel Yox of Garden City, Kansas and One Grandson, Jaxson Yox of Garden City, Kansas. Memorial services will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Bible Christian Church in Garden City, Kansas. Burial will be held in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas. There will be no calling times. Memorials may be given to the Cancer Center Of Kansas in Dodge City in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
