Jim L. Lisenby

Jim L. Lisenby, age 68, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022, peacefully at his home in Scott County, Kansas. He was born on July 10, 1953, in Mount Vernon, Illinois, the son of William Woodrow and LeEtta Leneave Lisenby. He was a resident of Scott City, Kansas, since 1972 moving from Mount Vernon, Illinois. He was a truck driver until retiring in 2017. 

He was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scott City, Kansas, and was a member of the NRA.

On November 26, 1972, he married Patsy Faurot in Mount Vernon, Illinois.  She survives.

Survivors include his Wife - Patsy Lisenby of Scott City, Kansas, Two Daughters - Shawna & Matt Lyon of Hays, Kansas, Amie Lisenby of Wewoka, Oklahoma, One Son - Jeromy & Lindsey Lisenby of Scott City, Kansas, and Four Sisters - Ruby Tinsley of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Sue Triefenbach of Lenzburg, Illinois, Wanda Shepler of DuQuoin, Illinois, Reba Howard of Dix, Illinois, Nine Grandchildren - Jordyn, Jarrett, Brittany, Sarah, Shelby, Eli, Keri, Koltin and Kyler, Four Great Grandchildren - Keyliana, Kambryn, Giovaughnni, and Presley.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother - Wendell “Jed”, and Nephew - Mark Shane Stratton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scott City, Kansas, with Pastor Michael Hageman presiding.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.

Memorial in Lieu of Flowers can be made to the Jim Lisenby Memorial Fund in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home; PO Box 553; Scott City, Kansas 67871.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Price & Sons Funeral home in Scott City, Kansas.
