E. Floyd

E. Grace Floyd, age 74, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas. Grace was born June 2, 1935 at Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, the daughter of William Howard & Dorothy Elvira Counterman Proctor. She was a homemaker and had been a Greeley County resident since 1963 moving from Dodge City, Kansas. Grace was a member of the United Methodist Church, Tribune Bowling League and enjoyed playing Bingo & Bridge. In 1953 she married Lloyd E. Patterson, Sr. at Dodge City, Kansas. They later divorced. On December 23, 1963 she married John Floyd at Syracuse, Kansas. He survives. Grace's other surviving family members include- One son- Lloyd Patterson, Jr.- Tribune, Kansas One daughter- Penny Graham- Tribune, Kansas Three sisters- Beatrice Tidwell- Durant, Oklahoma Doris Rice- Walsenburg, Colorado Audine Charles- Jetmore, Kansas Seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, William Proctor, two sisters, Leatrice Ruddick and Mary Alice Brown and a daughter, Verna Sue Wendt. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. The family will hold private services at a later date. Memorials may be sent to the Greeley County Library in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home in Tribune, Kansas.
