Doris L. Riner

Doris L. Riner, age 98, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2020, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on September 26, 1922, in Comanche County, Kansas, the daughter of John & Minnie Sinkle Wait. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1953 moving from Protection, Kansas, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Scott City, Kansas. On May 3, 1942, she married G.T. Riner in Protection, Kansas. He passed away on July 26, 2011, in Scott City, Kansas. Survivors include her Two Sons - Ronald & Sue Riner of Scott City, Kansas, Bill & Sue Riner of Scott City, Kansas, Three Daughters - Roma & Joe Murphy of Great Bend, Kansas, Trudy & Don Eikenberry of Scott City, Kansas, Connie & Kevin Wilkinson of Goodyear, Arizona, One Brother - Merle Wait of Protection, Kansas, Fifteen Grandchildren, Thirty-Five Great Grandchildren, and Eight Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Two Sisters - Maxine Huck, Ruth Smitherman, and Two Brothers - John Wait Jr, and Donald Wait. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2020, at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas with Rev. Kyle Evans presiding. Burial will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials In Lieu Of Flowers may be given to Park Lane Nursing Home in care of Price & Sons Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
