Donald Walker

Garden City, Kansas Donald Lynn Walker, age 70, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born August 12, 1939 in Larned, Kansas the son of John D. and L. Kathleen Sooby Walker. A resident of Garden City since 1944 moving from Larned, Kansas, he was a self employed truck driver and had delivered bulk fuel for the Garden City CO-OP. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the American Legion both of Garden City, Kansas. He also belonged to the Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite both of Wichita, Kansas and was a US Air Force Veteran. Survivors Include: One Daughter, Doni Jackson of Jacksonville, Florida; Two Brothers, Thomas Walker and Melvin Walker, both of Garden City, Kansas; One Sister, Dolores Peters of Twinsburg, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on, Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home. Interment will be at Valley View Cemetery. The family requests memorials be given to the American Legion Elevator Project in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
