Betty E. Hoeme, age 81, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2009 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on December 22, 1927 in Scott City, Kansas, the daughter of Thomas and Thula Moore Triffet. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, she worked over the years for the Chamber of Commerce & the Scott County Fair Board as a secretary later working at Alco and was also a homemaker and music teacher.
Her memberships include the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scott City, Kansas, and a college Music Sorority.
On September 28, 1947 she married Andrew Hoeme in Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on June 11, 1982 in Scott County, Kansas.
Survivors include Two Sons - Larry & Kathy Hoeme of Scott City, Kansas, Lynn & Diane Hoeme of Scott City. Kansas; One Daughter - Carol & Steve Walker of Oxnard, California; One Brother - Max "Bud" Triffet of San Antonio, Texas; Six Grandchildren; Seven Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Father and Step Mother â Nellie Sheley Triffet.
Funeral Services will be held at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2009 with Pastor Warren Prochnow presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scott City, Kansas % of Price & Son Funeral Home in Scott City. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
